Tools and capabilities

Discover the supported buying operations, then inspect their current input schemas.

Start with get_adcp_capabilities, then use tools/list on your connection to inspect the callable tools. The reference below loads the default Orchestration catalog from the running server. It excludes experimental Preview interfaces and does not verify your account access.

Discover support before assuming it

The current capability response declares:

  • AdCP 3.1, with major version 3 supported.
  • The media_buy protocol.
  • brief, wholesale, and refine product discovery modes.
  • Operator billing, without separate per-operator authentication. The connection still requires user bearer authentication and a selected account for tool calls.

Retry keys are not full protocol idempotency. create_media_buy requires an idempotency_key and can replay an existing successful buy. Capability discovery nevertheless reports adcp.idempotency.supported: false: payload-conflict detection is not implemented. Reuse a key only to retry the same intended buy, never for a changed order.

Know the boundaries

Management, delivery snapshots, and full delivery reporting are available on ClearLine brands. Targeting updates currently apply structured geo only; other accepted targeting fields are reported in unsupported_fields. Creative support is VAST tag URLs or hosted video URLs—not inline VAST XML or tile assets.

For sequencing, activation behavior, and partial-failure handling, follow the buying workflow. Preview is a separate, coming-soon direction—not an extension silently included in this catalog.
